All About Me - Not quite but maybe just enough to satisfy your curiosity

Tiffany Banks

Remember the motto, "Be prepared?", well that's what this website is about - giving you the information you need to deal with the challenges that life throws at us midlife women. Don't waste any time looking for my formal qualifications, there aren't any. There's no piece of paper for twenty years of experience of midlife's ups and downs!

A Glimpse of My Lifestyle
Most of my life has been spent living on the Mendip hills in the county of Somerset, in the United Kingdom. I'm a country girl through and through, love to be outside come rain or shine and I care deeply about my environment. Don't let this put you off if you're a city girl, I do make the effort sometimes to experience the hustle and bustle of shops and shows.Throughout my life I've always appreciated my good health and vitality. I firmly believe that feeding it with good wholesome food and keeping active has played a big part in this, plus the fact that I don't smoke, or drink alcohol, or use any other substance.

Enjoying Exercise
Exercise and keeping physically fit has always been part of my life starting from a really young age, when I was packed off to ballet and tap dancing lessons. Being tall and lanky I was expected to be good at sports when I reached senior school - running was great, but anything involving throwing or hitting a ball was a disaster. I played Badminton to a high standard, was, and still am a keen walker, and followed various exercise routines at home and in classes.
Later a gym membership introduced me to the delights of the treadmill, stationary bikes, rowing machine, cross trainers, steppers and various machines that involved weights - I love the gym during the winter months especially. Aerobics, Body Balance, Fitball and finally Pilates and Tai Chi have been my chosen classes, with Boxercise and trampolining on the list of 'must do's'.

Changing Course
I was a professional photographer for around 20 years until it was time to do something different. I started a dog care business which I still operate now. But since I first logged on to the internet, way, way back, I've always wanted to run an online business, and ultimately that's what this website will be. When I realized that women in their midlife years could benefit from my experiences and the knowledge learned along the way, getting the information out there on a website was the obvious way to go.

Bringing It All Together
So where does success come into this ? Well, I believe that we all want to be successful in some way or other. It doesn't necessarily mean becoming a successful business women or champion athlete, its about being successful with your personal aims, your dreams, however big or small they may be, public or private. There's no doubt of the benefits of a successful and healthy lifestyle, but if you need any reassurance or help you'll find it here.We could perhaps keep the words of Maya Angelou in our minds to inspire us towards fulfilling our dreams...
Love life, engage in it, give it all you've got. love it with a passion, because life truly does give back, many times over, what you put into it

So now we've arrived at the present and I've introduced myself properly to you. I'm hoping this will be the start of many good friendships as we walk this path together. As the site develops you will be able to contribute too, sharing your ideas, problems, successes and so on. Good wishes to you all, here's to a happier, healthier midlife for us all!
