Garlic- the 'wonder drug'


Garlic not just adds taste to your food but also has many medicinal qualities. The health benefits and medicinal properties of garlic have been long claimed. It is considered as an herbal 'wonder drug'.
According to folklores, garlic can prevent anything from common cold to plague. It is believed that garlic can cure the problem of acnes and can even help manage cholesterol levels. 

Garlic's anti-biotic qualities also help prevent tuberculosis (TB).
1. Anti-biotic qualities: Take a garlic pod and remove its peel. Cut that pod into 3-4 pieces. Take two pieces after each meal and chew it properly. Then swallow it with some water. If you can’t have garlic directly then you can chew one raisin with it.  
2. Painkiller: Take 4 pods of garlic and peel it. Add it to 30 gram mustard oil. Then add 2 gram celery (ajvain) and heat it on low flame till celery turns black. Let the oil cool. Warn this oil whenever needed and apply it on the area that is hurting.  
3. Asthma cure: Garlic can prove to be a boon for the asthma patients. Take 30ml milk and add 5 garlic pods to it and heat it. Consume this everyday. Add two crushed pieces of garlic to your ginger tea and consume it regularly can help you keep asthma in control.
